Climate Action U-Turn Part 3

Due to the global warming crisis, the world of everyday natural systems and processes is becoming more of a challenge for much of our wildlife, plants, and trees. The physical condition of our land, water, atmosphere, and climate is also being tested, resulting in certain species and elements of nature fighting for longevity.

Lately, a portion of humanity is included in that form of destiny. While modern-day people have been around for about 300,000 years, nature’s example of a horseshoe crab has been in existence for about 450 million years. All living things have weathered the storms and won. Some lasted longer than others.

But in America, a different kind of assault is taking place. One that will test every citizen’s resolve, maybe not now but surely over the forthcoming decades.

If you haven’t already done so, please review my 10/14/2025 and 11/11/2025 posts to learn what brought our nation to this critical juncture in a very short time.

The President of the United States is attacking decades of climate science findings! President Pollute’s negative U-Turn on clean energy and pollution regulations is unfathomable in an age where the World Health Organization has established that nearly half a billion people worldwide die from more brutal and longer heat waves. True, most of these unfortunate souls do not reside in our nation. False, the USA’s climate fatality rate is not important and won’t increase. True, under this lid of climate tyranny, its ignorance of critical conclusions from climate scientists results in economic penalties and health implications to be borne, for now, mostly by the elderly, sick, and marginalized. Those demographics will broaden as North America continues to warm up. Energy poverty is the financial hardship that prohibits access to the required amount of cooling to survive, and our leadership doesn’t relate to such powerless existence.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Dirty energy and clean energy must coexist, probably forever. The world for the year 2024:

% of Primary Energy Consumption

Petroleum     37.5%

Natural Gas  36.3%

Coal                8.4%

Nuclear           8.7%

Renewables    9.1%

Renewable energy is a far cry from being a threat to fossil fuels! Yet, China is already the world’s master at balancing fossil fuel production while preparing for the clean energy future. The second largest economy is the globe’s No. 1 producer of fossil fuel AND clean energy sources. It realizes that oil, gas, and coal propelled and prospered Earth’s human population from 2.5 billion to over 8 billion in the last 75 years, while the devastating effects of greenhouse gas were hidden from plain sight for the majority of that time.

China, the European Union, and other common-sense nations are aware that uncontrolled atmospheric emissions must be reversed for human livelihoods at all levels to have a chance at long-term pleasurable lifestyles.

Such reversals will take a very long time to accomplish.

The United States of America is losing the charge on renewable energy to China, Saudi Arabia, certain EU countries, Iceland, Kenya, Morocco, New Zealand, and others seeking a timely transition. As climate change shapes world economics, America has yielded its once-dominant Paris Agreement influence and risks losing economic opportunities, competitiveness, and market power. The U.S. has always been dominant with regard to the global agenda, and benefited. Our country must be a contributing member of the new geoeconomic stage because an isolated nation will lose its financial respectability, even the one with the world’s largest economy!

However, by withdrawing the USA from a united global concern for clean energy, President Pollute announced to the world that he prefers isolationism when it comes to global warming.

Thus, we are in a very compromising position. Our diplomacy is tarnished, and our ability to compete in the international markets is lessened due to climate denial. The world’s clean energy market is expected to be over $2 trillion in another 10 years, and we will be on the outside looking in. America will not be at the table to have a voice in shaping the collaboration required to promote U.S. corporate involvement.

“Mr. President, don’t continue to try and make a case for fossil fuels not endangering people, and telling us not to believe our lying eyes! You have scrubbed almost every mention of climate change and global warming from the federal government websites. That’s just one of many instances where you’ve gone too far. Those 500-600 staffing cuts at the National Weather Service ignore the accepted universal climate scientists’ guiding light.

“Sir, your administration is acting like a snake biting off its tail to hide its tracks. Why is this happening? It has fired hundreds of scientists responsible for preparing the next National Climate Assessment; dismantled the 35-year-old U.S. Global Change Research Program; and eliminated the State Department’s Office of Global Change. Your climate-denying syndrome has spread to not only conservative politicians, but also to foundations, think tanks, and individuals, which spills havoc on pollution control and green energy progress. Yes, we must continue to rely on fossil fuels, but not while crushing clean energy thinking and climate monitoring. Due to your quick federal rollback of billions of clean energy dollars within six months of taking office, wind and solar investors spent 36% less than the same time period a year ago, resulting in a 2025 loss of $20 billion in such funding.”

Talk about an anti-climate administration!

Lordy, did it make sense this fall when it was revealed that 43 of this year’s federal agency employees have direct ties to fossil fuel. Eight of those appointees are conveniently placed in key energy positions that oversee our environmental and climate policy. 12 more are part of fuel-funded think tanks. Another 29 are former polluting industry executives in greenhouse gas-emitting chemical, automaking, mining, or utility companies. This strategic attack on America’s role in energy transition had to have taken months, if not years, for Project 2025 to design for your implementation.

I wonder if those who possess a climate denier mentality are aware that modern man’s first ever environmental tipping point has been 80% collapsed?

Our natural world has certain tipping points, both positive and negative. Right now, we need a universal prayer for the fate of coral reefs. Humanity has a zero chance for a fast transition from dirty energy to renewable energy. Therefore, 100% of the world’s dynamic coral reefs will bleach white, and this widespread decline will have a profound negative impact not only on saltwater life, but also on economies. Oceanic heatwaves are a result of global warming, and for President Pollute to label the climate crisis as a “hoax” is unfathomable! For him to ignore the 160 scientists from around the world who agreed this fall that burning oil, gas, and coal are ratcheting up global temperatures and causing the bleaching death of all coral specimens means America has a serious problem.

A recent landmark report declared that this crucial system is so far out of balance, it’s tipping end over end over end into extinction. What doesn’t PP understand?

This is just one of the Earth system crossroads! The Amazon Rain Forest, the ice sheets, and the vital ocean currents are slated to follow the reef's demise unless the planet’s heat-causing pollution is greatly reduced by 2050. To our climate-denying leadership, please open up your hearts to our younger people and those yet to be born?

“Yes, Mr. President, fossil fuels drove the progression of human lifestyle for a very long time without anyone being aware of the masquerading source of planetary destruction.

The disguise is over, and this is not the time to take a meat cleaver to climate science and emission limitations. First, you ushered in all those executive orders to trample pollution regulations and clean energy production. Next came your green agency staffing cuts, followed by a congressional spending bill to reinforce every one of your anti-climate initiatives. Your stance on climate change opposes all global rationale for saving the planet from greenhouse gas damage.

“I realize your loyalty to fossil fuels is paramount in your mind. Why, during your run for the second term, a group of oil tycoons assembled for you to tell them, ‘I need a billion dollars from you and I’ll roll back basically the last century of regulations.’

Until 2025, climate science research and policy implementation sponsored by our federal government were the cornerstones for defeating global warming. Your U-Turn on this accomplishment was never more evident than when the EPA’s pro-polluter Zedlin made the effort to repeal the former EPA 2009 “endangerment finding,” the epic legal opinion accepting the fact that greenhouse gas endangers public health and welfare of the American people. Following that nonsensical act, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Union of Concerned Scientists, made up of 1000+ scholars, sent a strong letter to Mr. Zedlin denouncing his intention. The letter ended with, ‘Do your job.’

“Mr. President, the oil, gas, and coal industry will continue to flourish for a very long time. It’s not going anywhere because clean energy is so far behind in catching up. But one day it will.

Surprise us and the world by accepting the inevitable.

A positive U-Turn…

Make that your New Year’s resolution.

Please give our nation’s renewables every chance to join with the rest of the world. Do that, and simultaneously, let the critical emissions regulations on the chemical industry go forth as the EPA originally designed for obvious reasons. And you will have done your job, sir.”
